See a preparation record begin

This short In-house demonstration follows a fictional organisation from an answer and action to copying a reviewed answer into the official portal. Consultant uses the same preparation flow across separate client workspaces.

01

Bring last year’s answers with you

Import a supported IASME portal Answer Export PDF or assessment-report PDF. The app reads it locally, then lets you review and confirm selected answers while keeping answers you have already entered.

For a Willow-to-Danzell renewal, the in-app Renewal Delta Report highlights answers to carry forward, review and add. Question-change notes identify new, renumbered, reworded and requirement-changed questions.

02

See what needs attention before you export

Keep answers, question-linked evidence, notes and actions together. Conditional questions are marked when they are not needed, so your remaining-work count reflects the applicable questions.

Selected high-risk answer flags, missing-file checks and export checks help you spot unfinished work. These checks do not predict a certification result or replace your review.

03

Turn preparation into useful documents

Copy reviewed answers into the official portal, export an Evidence Pack ZIP or print a report. Tender Outputs give you four documents to edit and share in DOCX, HTML or Markdown.

Create a Tender Security Pack, Questionnaire Answer Bank, Certification Status Statement and Continuity Timeline. These describe your recorded position; they are not certificates. Both editions also include seven editable Cyber Essentials policy templates with an active licence.

04

Plan your Cyber Essentials Plus preparation

Use a preparation checklist derived from your answers, device-sample estimates and assessment planning dates and notes to organise the next stage.

Plus preparation is included in both editions. Your certification body handles technical testing, the actual sample selection and certification separately.

Ready to return next year

Keep each assessment year in its place

Start a new assessment year and review selected answers to carry forward. Previous answers, evidence and exports remain in a read-only record. Evidence files, actions and exports stay with their original year, so you can review what is still current before adding it to the new assessment.

Stay aligned as question sets change

Your active subscription includes product and question-set updates we release as the scheme changes. Download and install the updated app from your account, keep a backup and review previous answers against the applicable requirements. Updates are delivered in new app builds.

Your working files stay local. Create recovery backups and keep a protected copy away from the working computer; RightCyber does not automatically sync or back up your work.

How it fits the assessment process

Prepare in RightCyber, review your answers, then submit through your chosen certification body’s official process. The official assessment is purchased and completed separately. RightCyber does not award Cyber Essentials certification or guarantee a pass.

Free official guidance and question previews are available from IASME. The Workspace adds a place to organise the work: answers, supporting evidence, actions and a record to revisit at renewal. RightCyber is independent of IASME and the NCSC.

Workspace FAQ

Before you choose

Which Workspace edition should I choose?

Choose In-house for your own organisation. Choose Consultant if you prepare Cyber Essentials for clients: it gives each client a separate local workspace, with plans for 3, 10 or 30 active engagements. Both editions include the preparation tools.

Does the Workspace include certification?

No. RightCyber is independent preparation software. The official assessment fee, submission and certification decision are separate. It does not connect to the official portal or submit answers automatically. You review your answers and enter them through your certification body's process. Cyber Essentials Plus testing is also separate. Using the app does not guarantee certification.

Where are my answers and evidence stored?

Your preparation work is saved in local folders you control. RightCyber holds account and billing records and, for Consultant, licence, device and client-registry details. Workspace files are not automatically synced between computers or backed up by RightCyber. Protect your local files and keep restorable backups.

Can I try it before choosing a plan?

Yes. The free demo runs on macOS and Windows with a fixed fictional client, without an account or payment card. It lets you explore the preparation workflow. Demo exports and backups are stamped as examples, starting a new assessment year is disabled, and demo work does not transfer into a paid licence.

What do I download after checkout?

Your RightCyber account provides the installer for your edition. The desktop app is called RightCyber Evidence Builder. Install it on macOS or Windows; Consultant also needs a one-time activation code from your account and an online connection to register clients. Your Workspace subscription and downloads are managed through the same account.

Practical help before you prepare

The Workspace subscription covers preparation software. Certification is a separate process and fee. Use these free guides to plan the work and questions for your IT provider.

Follow the full Cyber Essentials preparation route

Download a fictional sample Evidence Pack (ZIP) to inspect the answers, evidence index and open actions. It was generated by the Workspace exporter with invented data and is not a completed assessment.
