Documents Licence for RightCyber Documents.

These terms cover paid RightCyber document packs and any templates included with a Certification Workspace licence. The free ransomware exercise carries the separate permission stated below.

What the licence grants

RightCyber grants the licensee a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the documents in the pack. The licensee is one legal entity: the organisation named or represented by the RightCyber account that bought the pack, or that holds the Certification Workspace licence which explicitly includes it. Downloads are entitlement-checked and recorded. Some editable templates also carry the account email inside the file.

Within that one organisation you may edit the documents, add your own content, remove RightCyber wording, adopt them as internal policies, procedures and records, and share them with your staff, contractors, auditors, assessors, insurers and certification bodies as part of your own compliance work.

What the licence does not permit

You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute or publish the documents or any edited version of them, in whole or in part, to anyone outside the licensed organisation, and you may not make them available as a download, template library or generator. You may not use the documents, or their structure and wording, to build a competing template, product or service.

One licence covers one organisation. A group, franchise or managed-service provider that wants to adopt the documents in more than one legal entity needs a licence for each entity.

Consultant tiers and client engagements

A standard catalogue purchase is not a multi-client consultant licence. Where a Certification Workspace — Consultant entitlement explicitly includes a document pack, the consultant may prepare, edit and deliver a client-specific version as part of that engagement. The consultant may not transfer the source pack or give a client continuing reuse rights. A client that wants a pack for its own ongoing use buys its own licence.

RightCyber intellectual property

RightCyber retains all intellectual property in the documents, their structure, checklists and wording. The licence is a right to use, not a transfer of ownership. Your own edits and the information you add remain yours.

Not legal advice and no certification guarantee

The documents are templates. They are not legal, HR, insurance or regulatory advice, and RightCyber is not a law firm, certification body or assessor. Review each document before adoption with the people responsible for your legal, HR and operational obligations, and replace every placeholder with what is true for your organisation.

Adopting the documents does not certify your organisation and does not guarantee a Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus result, assessor acceptance, contract award or insurance acceptance. A policy only supports certification when it matches what actually happens.

Review before adoption

Each delivered pack carries a version; some editable templates also include a "Review before adoption" footer. Requirements change, so RightCyber may publish revised versions; downloading a revision does not change your licence. Keep your adopted copy under your own document control and review it regularly.

Purchase, access and refunds

Each paid pack is bought once from a RightCyber account through Stripe as merchant of record, and downloaded from the signed-in documents page. Immediate access means the 14-day cancellation right is waived at checkout, as set out on the refunds page. These terms sit alongside the RightCyber Terms, which govern the account and the service.
