Give every Cyber Essentials client a preparation record you can reuse.

Keep each client’s answers, evidence and actions in a separate local workspace. Import supported previous answers, review what is still open, prepare client handovers and keep each assessment year intact for renewal.

Included on every Consultant plan

Keep each client distinct. See the work across your practice.

Move between separate client workspaces with their own answers, evidence, notes and actions. Use the same preparation workflow for every engagement, with a portfolio view to keep the next steps visible.

See the next action across your portfolio
Review each client’s preparation progress, open gaps, missing evidence and renewal dates in the local portfolio. Export a CSV or Markdown summary to help plan the workload.
Focus on applicable questions
Keep IASME’s Danzell questions and guidance beside the answers. Conditional questions your client’s answers rule out are marked not needed, so the remaining count reflects that record.
Review selected high-risk answers
Answer checks and export preflight flag selected high-risk responses, missing files and open actions. Keep evidence and notes on the relevant question. Unflagged answers still need your judgement.
Cyber Essentials Plus preparation
Use a checklist drawn from the client’s answers, an indicative sample-size estimate from recorded devices, and scheduling and remediation notes. The Workspace does not scan devices, run Plus tests, choose the assessment sample or decide the outcome.

Preparation progress reflects the information you record. The certification body’s assessor carries out Cyber Essentials Plus testing and determines the outcome.

How plan allowances are counted

Active client engagement

A client you are currently preparing with the Workspace. Archive a finished engagement to release its slot once the change syncs online. Reopen it when a slot is available. All ongoing engagements must stay within your plan’s allowance.

Activated computer

A computer currently activated against the plan. Included computers do not automatically create multiple user accounts or permission to share sign-in credentials.

Inside the Workspace

Keep the evidence behind each client answer within reach

Real Consultant Starter capture · fictional client data. Record the answer, attach supporting material and track the next action alongside the question.

One client at a time
  • Check which client you are working on before editing.
  • Read the question and guidance beside the answer.
  • Keep the supporting files, notes and next actions close.

Preparation status. Progress shows what you have recorded. It does not verify the client’s systems or predict an assessment result.

One preparation structure across separate clients

Follow the same steps for each client, with their answers, supporting material and actions kept together.

  1. 01

    Create the client workspace

Register a client engagement and create its own local workspace.

  2. 02

Open the client you are working on

Use the selected-client control to move between workspaces without combining their preparation records.

  3. 03

    Work through the preparation

Keep questions, responses and supporting context together for that client.

  4. 04

    Record gaps and actions

Keep outstanding preparation work visible instead of hiding it in a separate tracker.

  5. 05

    Export the client’s preparation record

Create an Evidence Pack ZIP, printable report or Consultant summary, then save a separate backup for recovery.

  6. 06

    Repeat within the licence allowance

Use the same structure for the next licensed active client engagement.

Renewal and year history

Bring the client’s previous work into the next engagement.

What every plan does for a returning client: preserve the record, make supported question changes visible and give you control over the answers carried into the next year.

  1. Import previous answers

Renewal Import reads supported IASME portal answer-export or assessment-report PDFs locally. You can also paste previous Willow answers. Review and confirm the selected answers before import; existing answers are kept.

  2. Review the Willow-to-Danzell changes

Question notes explain supported changes in wording, numbering and requirements. The Renewal Delta Report in the Willow import review shows what can carry forward, what needs review and which questions are new.

  3. Keep a separate assessment record for each year

Start a new assessment year and retain the previous answers, evidence and exports as read-only history. Review which answers to carry forward, then refresh the evidence and actions without overwriting the previous year’s record.

Renewal Import supports recognised portal documents, not arbitrary PDFs, scanned documents or a certificate alone. A new assessment year uses the question set installed in the app. Released question-set updates arrive in a new build that you download and install from your account during active access.

Client documents and handover

Turn preparation into a useful client handover.

Produce four Tender Outputs as editable DOCX, HTML or Markdown from the client’s recorded information. Each document makes missing information clear, so you can review it with the client before use.

Real Consultant Starter capture · fictional client data. The certificate record is entered by the user; it is not a live certification check.

Tender Security Pack
Bring recorded answers, evidence references and certificate details together for the client’s customer or procurement team.
Questionnaire Answer Bank
Give the client reusable security information drawn from their preparation record for customer questionnaires.
Certification Status Statement
Explain the status and planned submission date recorded for the client, with missing information stated clearly.
Continuity Timeline
Present the certificate history entered for the client, including any recorded gaps between certificates.

Your practice name and accent colour

Available on every Consultant plan. Growth and Practice can also hide the “prepared with RightCyber” attribution line. The independent-tool notice and official certificate-register link remain in every document.

Seven editable policy templates

The Cyber Essentials Policy Pack is included during active access. Adapt the templates into client-specific deliverables for licensed engagements; the source pack’s reuse rights do not transfer to the client.

Evidence for handover, backups for recovery

Export an Evidence Pack ZIP, printable report or Consultant summary. Keep a separate local backup for recovery, including previous assessment years. There is no automatic cloud backup or live sync between computers.

Client information and responsibility

Keep control of your client preparation files

Client work stays in the local Workspace; limited service records stay with RightCyber. There is no automatic cloud backup or live sync between computers. Keep a recovery backup somewhere you protect.

How client information is divided and protected
Consultant-controlled

Client preparation material

  • Organisation details, answers and notes
  • Evidence references, copied files and screenshots
  • Gaps, actions, owners and dates
  • Local preparation outputs and export history
  • Workspace and Consultant-workspace backups
Held by RightCyber

Access and allowance records

  • Account, sign-in, billing and entitlement records
  • Activated-device identifiers and licence status
  • Limited client registry: public workspace identifier, optional display name, status, timestamps and counts
  • Operational and support records needed to run access

The normal product flow does not upload client answers, evidence, gaps, outputs or backups to RightCyber.

Client permission and protection remain your responsibility

Obtain authority to handle each client’s material, protect the computer and customer-controlled folders, keep restorable backups and redact sensitive information before asking for support.
Installation and device management

macOS and Windows delivery

Download the installer for your plan from your account. The Workspace runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.

Device replacement

The signed-in account area provides device deactivation before a replacement computer is activated within the allowance.

Annual service

Active access covers the supported Workspace release, licence activation and updates RightCyber releases after verification.

Existing client material

Renewal Import reads supported IASME portal PDFs or pasted Willow answers. Review and confirm the selected answers before import; existing answers are kept. It is not a general importer for other tools’ files.

The official assessment process

Consultant helps you organise preparation work across licensed client engagements. RightCyber does not submit applications, assess clients, award certification or guarantee an outcome. Cyber Essentials Plus technical testing is outside this product.

The official process stays separate

Each client must use the official Cyber Essentials assessment route and its chosen certification body. Their registration, assessment, fees and certification decision are not included in a Consultant plan.
Using the included Policy Pack with clients

Your active Consultant licence includes seven Cyber Essentials Policy Pack templates for licensed client engagements. You may prepare and deliver a client-specific version as part of the engagement. The licence does not permit transferring the source pack or granting a client continuing reuse rights.

Consultant FAQ

Before you choose a plan

What counts as an active client engagement?

A client you are currently preparing with the Workspace. Starter includes 3 active clients, Growth 10 and Practice 30. Archive a finished engagement to release its slot once the change syncs online. Reopen a saved client when you have a free active-client slot, an internet connection and an active licence. Archiving keeps local work; it does not create a backup.

Do the included computers cover several consultants?

Starter includes 1 activated computer, Growth 2 and Practice 5. These are device allowances, not named team seats or permission to share sign-in credentials. Ask RightCyber before buying for several staff members. The account area lets you deactivate a computer before activating a replacement within your allowance; this does not delete local work.

Can I work offline, and how do I protect my files?

Existing client work can be used locally. Purchase, downloads, activation, licence refresh and creating or reopening clients need an internet connection. The licence records a 30-day offline grace period; existing local work stays readable, editable and exportable after it expires. There is no automatic cloud backup or live sync between computers. Keep a Workspace Backup ZIP or full Consultant-workspace backup in storage you protect; RightCyber cannot recover lost local work without one.

Can I use previous assessment answers?

Renewal Import accepts supported IASME portal answer-export and assessment-report PDFs, or pasted Willow answers. Review and confirm the selected answers before import; existing answers are kept. Check imported answers against the client’s current systems and assessment requirements. This is not a general importer for other tools’ files.

Can the outputs carry my practice branding?

Every plan can add your practice name and an accent colour to Tender Outputs. Hiding the “prepared with RightCyber” attribution line is a Growth and Practice control. All outputs retain the statement that they are not produced by a certification body or an assessment outcome, plus a link to the official certificate register. Bespoke document design is not included.

Can I change plans during the year?

Contact RightCyber with the account email and capacity you need before buying on the assumption that you can change plans later. A self-service mid-year upgrade or downgrade is not currently offered.

How do annual billing and cancellation work?

Plans are billed annually and renew automatically unless cancelled in your account’s billing portal before renewal. Access continues until the paid period ends. After expiry, downloads, activation, licence refresh and new client registration may be blocked; existing local work remains on your computer. The Terms and Refunds Policy set out the full conditions.

Does RightCyber certify my clients?

No. The Workspace helps you prepare and hand over a client’s work. RightCyber does not submit applications, assess or certify clients, guarantee a result or provide Cyber Essentials Plus technical testing. Each client’s official assessment and certification fees are separate.

Practical help before you prepare

The Workspace subscription covers preparation software. Certification is a separate process and fee. Use these free guides to plan the work and questions for your IT provider.
