How much does it cost to fix an AI-built app?

Short answer: Most rescues start with a paid audit, from a few hundred pounds to about £4,500, followed by fixes quoted from the findings. My health check is £495, credited if you go ahead with fixes within 30 days.

What the market charges

Audit-first is the norm. One UK firm charges £4,500 for a three-week discovery sprint, credited against the build. Overseas agencies advertise quick audits from about $399, and full rescues commonly run from $15,000 to $80,000 depending on how much needs rebuilding.

What usually needs fixing

  • Secret keys and credentials exposed in the browser or code.
  • Missing checks on who can see which customer's data.
  • Payments and sign-up journeys that fail in ways nobody noticed.
  • No reliable way to release changes without breaking things.

How to avoid overpaying

Don't commission a rebuild before someone has looked. A health check tells you which parts are worth fixing and which would be cheaper to replace. Mine covers one web app, meaning one code repository, one database project and its hosting, with findings in plain English within five working days of access.
